This watercolour is of day lillies. Each bloom lasts for just a day. Hence the title "Carpe Dium"or Sieze the Day. Again my photography isnt brilliant, apologies. The wide mount is ivory coloured. The frame pale ash.size overall 26" high by 23" wide. The scarlet and green against the white ground make the colours sing out. It is a lively painting, with a lot of detail. It is a favourite of mine.
